Allan Dafoe on 80k hours

Interview with the director of frontier safety and governance at Google Deepmind, Allan Dafoe. I found his analysis of different topics very well thought out. He uses historical and sociological examples very well when discussing different possible actions with regard to the advancement of technologies and different parties incentives.

I previously wasn't aware of what the safety part of all the AI research companies were working on. Watching this interview I realise that they have a quite well thought through and serious approach to diverse set of questions.

One interesting term that I learned through this interview is technological determinism. It is about whether the path of technology is inevitable. I'll have to look more into it.
